Dudbridge Grill

by: Andy P.

Well something different whilst still awaiting final plans and decisions for other projects

First job was rounding up an errant Delilah which was floating down the canal all lost and lonely. The sight of grown men trying to lasso her was worthy of much mirth. Eventually a snagged rope allowed her to be pulled back to shore to be tied up and hopefully not to repeat her exploits.

We had good practise the week before rounding up 20 odd sheep from Ryeford lock and gently persuading them to go back through the fence holes from where they came. Never a dull moment

Then onto Dudbridge grill. Hacking our way through dense unforgiving undergrowth we managed to get the van and all its contents as close as possible. Dropping the pound level and blocking the fish run reduced the volume of water but with only 1 pair of wellies between us we still managed to get the heaviest top piece off and laid on the concrete. Looking good so far.
