 The Stroud Festival of Nature
In Stratford Park today, took place the annual gathering of numerous organisations representing all the little creatures and more that bless the wonderful biodiversity of our local area and beyond.  In a perfect summer setting, there was a fascinating exhibition provided by local groups and organisations with plenty to enjoy for everyone, young and not so young.
The Cotswold Canals Trust was represented again.  Anna's irrepressible book stall was there along side information telling of our current activities and the plans for taking forward the HLF bid and the impact that will have.
A good crew of volunteers were on hand to man the stand during the day.  Having a water feature of any kind is a great way to attract the younger generation.  It did take, however, some books purchased from the book stall and installed by a crack team of hydraulic engineers, to prop up the legs of the table to keep a satisfactory level of water in our aquatic playground!
