Dredging Team - Wednesday

Wednesday morning saw an icy canal at Stantons Bridge. The dredger needed to be moved to Wallbridge lock in readiness for the HLF visit and this entailed breaking through the ice to free up the mud hopper and create a channel to Bowbridge lock. The ice here was 38mm thick.
The dredger No5, Annette 2 and the hopper Weft formed an impressive convoy as we made our way to Wallbridge, despite the biting wind and many snow showers.
